About The Teachers Table

The Teachers Table is a platform created by former educators turned literacy experts to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world classroom teaching. Our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product connects teachers with research-backed insights by cross-correlating educational videos from popular influencers with peer-reviewed academic research in literacy.

There’s a significant disconnect between research-based best practices and what actually happens in the classroom. Teachers often face time constraints, overwhelming complexity, and outdated or conflicting information. The Teachers Table simplifies research and pairs it with engaging video content, making it easier to apply effective strategies in the classroom.

The content on this site is removed from social media, allowing it to be used within the firewalls of a school district learning management system. Each piece of content published on this site is reviewed, approved based on alignment to research, and tagged based on topics involved.

The Teachers Table is dedicated to continuously and constantly growing alongside the research, so we can provide teachers with the most current information in a way that makes sense for their classrooms right now. In order to provide an up-to-date site that is responsive to the information, the production of relevant and new research, and the connection to the best minds in our field, we require teams of educators, content creators, and researchers to be actively participating in the growth of the information, the community, and the content.

Under school/district subscriptions, content viewing is registered with an Admin to allow for collective PD hours. As research shows, continuous and frequent PD, often in the form of smaller doses, is more effective in transferring knowledge to practice. By segmenting the learning and allowing individual pacing, educators can complete PD requirements with efficiency and connection.

Platform & Features

The platform aggregates educational content and correlates it with vetted academic research. This content is then summarized into teacher-friendly formats and made discoverable through searches, chatbots, and personalized recommendations. Teachers can also save, share, and discuss content within a growing professional community.

You’ll find summarized academic research, simplified educational videos, trending literacy strategies, and curated content aligned with proven instructional methods. Whether you're a new teacher or a seasoned educator, you'll gain access to resources that help you refine your practice and stay current.

Content correlation is the heart of our platform. We match and verify video content from educational influencers with credible academic studies, ensuring that what teachers are watching and sharing aligns with best practices and the latest research in literacy instruction.

A team of researchers and practitioners vet content by reviewing a selection of content based on topic and tied to the research teachers need to know.

Yes. We have content creators who have signed a licensing agreement with us and have dedicated Content Creator Portal access. Their content is still reviewed and approved based upon alignment before being published, but they have already been accepted to continuously submit content. We are, however, open to more content so please contact us at [email protected] to request information.

There is a payment structure that begins once a certain number of content pieces is submitted and approved. Please contact us for more information.

The Teachers Table provides the link to an outside source for research articles, understanding that being able to reference research is essential. For the purpose of making research applicable within our profession and our classrooms, The Teachers Table provides an accessible and comprehensible summary.

Personal subscriptions allow educators to access content, connect to our communities, and save content to bins. With a school or district account, schools can begin to collaborate, join live events, share bins of saved content, engage in learning pathways, and connect and participate as a team. Administration gains access to track progress for Professional Development hours.

The answer to this question depends on your subscription. With various subscription levels, you will have access to live events, workshops, and coaching sessions. For more information, click here to view the subscription levels.

A bin is a way to save content on this platform so you can use and refer to it later. With most subscriptions, these bins can be shared among schools/districts and used for collaborative learning, prepared learning pathways, and engaging content to match any professional development.
